I live with my mother and father in Kanjiramba village, before Tumani Tenda. My parents take care of me and my four brothers. Our grandmother also livers with us.
My father is a farmer and grows groundnuts and coos. He also has a cashew orchard. My mother grows vegetables in the garden.
My father pays the school fees for me and my four brothers who all go to school in town. When they leave the village to go to school, it is only me, my parents and my grandmother at our home.
My hobbies are reading and playing games with my friends.
My school is located in Kafuta village, 5 km from our home. I am in grade 8 and do the following subjects: maths, English, Science, Social and Environmental Studies, Home Science, Arts & Craft, Agricultural Science, French, Technical Drawing, Christian Religious Education.
My best subjects are English and Maths and my favourite teacher is Mr. Darboe. This past term we did not have a maths teacher, that’s why my results were not good. Now the new maths teacher has arrived.
At school I sometimes face difficulties with the payment of text books, exercise books, etc and also get tired of walking the long distance from home to school and back.
I want to study science because I want to become a doctor. I wish to have a long life.
I wish for my family to live in peace and be blessed by god and for my father to have a job.
I wish for a world in peace and happiness and without wars.
